Friday Fellowship, October 23rd at 7:00 PM at 10th and Spring Street
This week we’ll be looking at 1 John 3:11-3:24 to study more about God’s love and how it extends to our interaction with our brothers and sisters. We’ll be starting on time, so make sure you are too!

Sunday Service, October 25th at 9:30 AM at 11th and Vine Street
Catch the church van at 8:45 AM at 42nd and Woodland, 37th and Spruce, and 34th and Walnut.
Second Hour
Interested in learning more after service? There are a number of great courses that are offered! (The classes are held from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM) The 3 courses offered this semester are ‘Hebrews’, ‘War of Words’ and ‘Old Testament Survey’.

Sunday October 25th is the last day to register!! Don’t miss the opportunity to join us for a time of worship, prayer, FELLOWSHIP and learning from the Word. This is a one-time offer! The experience you miss cannot be made up in any way, shape or form! So please do register with one of the FCs. $5 will cover breakfast and lunch for Saturday.

SnL and LW join forces yet again!
The BBQ last week was a hit so we’re having an encore! Living Water will be having Pumpkin carving + HotPot/Korean BBQ Dinner with SnL this Saturday October 31st at 5:30 PM at 10th and Spring St.
Spend your Halloween carving pumpkins and enjoying dinner together with SnL! This is after retreat so come out for some more fellowship! Cost is ~$5. Please RSVP to Young Yim at yimyl[at]seas.upenn.edu by the end of this week!

Urbana conference

Urbana is the missions conference for North American students hosted by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA and Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada. It is only held every 3 years. For more information, please visit the website at www.urbana09.org.

This year, it will be held December 27-31, 2009, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri.

Register soon! The registration fee will increase on October 17th.

It’s starting to get a little chillier outside…so warm yourself up with happy thoughts of our next Living Water happenings coming up soon!

Come to Mayer 303 (3817 Spruce) to meet other freshmen and discuss common issues that many freshmen face as they adjust to the college life. Share experiences, study God’s word, and make lasting friendships! This small group is open to all freshmen, regardless of which fellowship to which you commit your time. This fall break, let’s hang out with CCC&C’s young adult fellowship, Salt and Light (SNL). Ray Hsu has generously opened his house (near 2nd and Girard) up to us for this joint event. The beginning of this week officially marks that summer is gone for another year, and fall has fully fallen upon us. But instead of being sad and mopey all day, get excited for all the Living Water happenings coming up real soon!

Friday Fellowship, 7:00 PM at 10th and Spring Street
Join us for some large group worship, small group Bible study, fellowship, fun, and food! Meet at 6:30 p.m. at Hill College House upper lobby (34th and Walnut) and Upper Quad Gate (37th and Spruce). Feel free to grab a bite to eat in Chinatown before hand, but try to make it on time!

Sunday Service, 9:30 AM at 11th and Vine Street
Start the week off right! Get in a good dose of God’s word preached by Pastor Tim Hui this Sunday. This is a great opportunity to spend time with the rest of the congregation of Chinese Christian Church and Center (CCC&C). Meet at 8:45 a.m. at 34th and Walnut, 37th and Spruce, or 42nd and Woodland to receive van service to church. Those living in the super block can also meet in Rodin College House lobby (39th and Locust).

Intro Day 2009Intro Day is Living Water Christian Fellowship’s first event of the year, and it’s a great way to see what we’re about and to meet and mingle with fellow students, both new and old.

Plus, you can learn more about Living Water’s ministries, like large group, small groups, and our special freshmen-only group, as well as Sunday service. There will be skits, games, and food! (Note to freshmen: Good food becomes a rarity in college — get it while you can! :P )
